Last week, on May 17th, 2021, Emma Leavitt aka Solei released her 2021 EP Same Water (on her birthday!). I was honored to make the music video for the title track “Same Water”, which features additional animations by Solei of her artwork.  This video was over a year in the making, and started with a shoot at dawn at the beloved Turtle Pond, during the pandemic.  I tried to minimize my typical use of endless video layers and composite shots, to zero in on the ambient minimalism of Solei’s music.  You can hear the EP as well as other music by Solei here.
